Greetings everyone, I am Principal Wu Kwok Chu. FLPY is the only quality primary school in School Net 71 (Tuen Mun District) affiliated with Po Leung Kuk. We are proud to have received the Po Leung Kuk Outstanding School Award for the third time in 2025/26 school year. Our school consistently achieves outstanding results in promoting our P.6 students to prestigious secondary schools. This success is due both to our students’ high academic achievements and our affiliation with two renowned PLK secondary schools in the district–Po Leung Kuk Centenary Li Shiu Chung Memorial College and Po Leung Kuk Tang Yuk Tien College.

We are dedicated to nurturing students’ 21st-century core 6C abilities, encompassing communication, collaboration, creativity and problem-solving, critical thinking, character, and citizenship, to co-create a Future-Ready School. Our school attaches great importance to biliteracy and trilingualism. To bolster students’ English proficiency and their interest in learning English, we integrate our English curriculum with the Four House system, complemented by inter-house activities, tiered reading intervention programmes, and overseas study tours. These initiatives provide a holistic environment for language acquisition. Leveraging the campus’s unique strengths and our students’ needs, we offer a school-based curriculum in Astronomy and Aerospace. Additionally, the curriculum also integrates our cutting-edge facilities including `Astronomy Park’ and `Aerospace Tech Hub’. This approach enables students to explore, discover, and create through hands-on experiences, fueling their curiosity and extending their learning, offering a learning journey that transcends the traditional primary school learning experiences. To maximize teaching and learning effectiveness, our teachers have completed professional training in Brain-Based Learning (BBL). We have fully implemented `Brainy Lesson’, utilising strategies rooted in neuroscience to enhance students’ interaction, autonomy, and active engagement in lessons. Furthermore, as a pilot school of the JC GoAI, we have seamlessly integrated AI across various subjects, equipping students to utilise AI for personalised learning while fostering essential digital literacy.

We place utmost importance on instilling positive values in our students while also prioritising their physical and mental well-being through our `Energetic and Healthy School’ scheme. By implementing and promoting Positive Education, we help students identify their character strengths and foster their positive emotions and interpersonal relationships. This includes optimising assignment quality, scrapping examinations for P.1 students, offering daily afternoon study periods and monthly themed activities. Additionally, e-sports such as electronic basketball, e-cycling, and AI-driven sports are all designed for students to foster a habit of doing regular exercise. With over 50 extracurricular activities catered to students’ diverse interests and potential, we strive to provide each student with a platform to showcase their talents through our three-tiered gifted education framework. The remarkable achievements of our students in disciplines such as fencing, Latin dance, innovation and technology competitions exemplify the success of our approach.
